Curious Roots Farm Tour & Workshop Schedule
Curious Roots is a charming herb farm on a historic homestead, specializing in organically grown medicinal herbs for local herbalists, product manufacturers, and tea blenders.
Schedule:
- 10:00 AM - Arrival & Check-in
- 10:15 AM - Farm Tour Begins
- 12:00 PM - Tour Ends
- 12:15 PM - Lunch: Freshly Baked Pizzas
- 1:00 PM - Workshop/Tour Continues
- 2:00 PM - Event Ends & Clean-Up
Special Workshop:
After lunch, Holly Lukasiewicz from District 2 Floral Studio will guide a mini herbal wreath workshop. Pre-registered guests can create and take home a compostable wreath. Holly is a cottage florist serving Nebraska and Iowa, known for sustainable and seasonal floral designs, partnering with local farmers.
About the Wreath Workshop:
The guided workshop embraces the use of locally grown flora and herbs, allowing participants to foster community and connect with the changing seasons in an artistic way, leaving with a unique seasonal creation (approximately 10”-12”). We will focus on eco-friendly bundling techniques for a sustainable approach to creating with our natural world. All supplies provided.
Pre-registration is required for attendance at the workshop so supplies can be sourced from local growers based on the number of registrants. Due date to register for the workshop is Tues., June 25, 2024. Appreciate your understanding!
